Catar exibe ator negro e influencer com deficiência na abertura da Copa com apelo à inclusão
Um dos campeões de violação aos direitos humanos no planeta – a Fifa foi duramente criticada por tê-lo aceito como sede da Copa 2022 – o Catar aproveitou a festa de abertura da copa este domingo, cerimônia assistida ao vivo por milhões de pessoas de todo o mundo, para reduzir o impacto de leis vigentes no país como a Sharia, que impõe pena de morte para homossexuais, e foi longe no seu esforço nesse sentido.
Contratou nada menos que o ator norte-americano Morgan Freeman, ganhador de Oscar, para, ao lado do influencer catari Ghanim Al Muftah, com 3 milhões de seguidores e que tem uma deficiência rara, a síndrome de regressão caudal, promover um diálogo sobre diversidade e inclusão que calou fundo no estádio Al Bayt, onde aconteceu a abertura da copa.

No esforço por se mostrar tolerante, o Catar não esqueceu das mulheres dançando, como sinal de inclusão feminina, embora isso não corresponda à realidade. O discurso final do Emir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani também foi conciliador. Depois da falar do esforço feito para sediar o evento ele concluiu “as pessoas, por mais que sejam de culturas, nacionalidades e orientações diferentes vão se reunir aqui no Catar. Que beleza, juntar todas essas diferenças!!! – exclamou.
Apesar da fama do influencer Ghanim no Catar, nomeado embaixador da Copa,a festa foi preparada, claramente, para fora do país sede, onde os direitos humanos são muito mais respeitados, do que para os cataris, que vivem um sistema de opressão das minorias e dos migrantes. Não se viu claramente no palco nenhum homossexual. De qualquer forma, em se tratando do Catar, o apelo à inclusão e à diversidade pode gerar frutos futuros e, se isso acontecer, terá valido a pena o esforço para parecer melhor do que é.
